Talkaven reviews video calling, messaging, and online communication apps — and helps people understand the safety side of using them. We started this site because most app reviews either repeat the developer’s own marketing copy or skip the safety questions that actually matter. We do neither: every review here comes from actually using the app, and every safety guide is written to help you make your own informed decision.

Who We Are
Tony founded Talkaven in 2025. has been covering online communication tools and social platforms since 2021. A former community moderator for two large Discord servers, he brings a practitioner’s eye to bot detection and moderation quality. You can reach us at info@talkaven.com.

What We Test
Every review follows the same process:
— Setup & Onboarding: what it takes to start using the app, and what it asks of you to get there
— Call & Audio Quality: tested across multiple devices and connection speeds
— Privacy & Data Practices: what the app actually collects, based on reading its real privacy policy
— Safety & Moderation: what tools exist to block, report, and control who can reach you
We re-test and update reviews when an app changes significantly.
